Is it safe to upload raw DNA data?
Beyond concerns about scientific validity, uploading your raw DNA data to a third-party service can also put your data privacy at risk. In part, this is why 23andMe provides important warnings to its customers before they choose to download.
Can I upload my DNA to family tree?
If you have previously tested your autosomal DNA at 23andMe© or AncestryDNA™ or MyHeritage™, you can transfer your results to FamilyTreeDNA by uploading your raw data file or by providing an identification number given by an acceptable third-party company.
Can I upload my AncestryDNA to other sites?
Once you have your data, you can upload raw DNA data to several different destinations. If you have been tested at AncestryDNA (or any other autosomal testing company), you can transfer your results to DNA upload sites like Family Tree DNA, Living DNA and MyHeritage for FREE.

The raw data are your genotype—the particular A’s, C’s, T’s, and G’s of your DNA—extracted from the sample you provided. These data are unique to you. Most companies caution that the raw data are only for research or education and are not suitable for medical purposes, such as diagnosing a disease.

No, you can’t transfer your DNA data from 23andMe to Ancestry. Some companies do allow transfer from time to time, but I have never seen those two do a transfer. I had my 23andMe transferred to MyHeritage when they were wanting more DNA to start their own service.
Can you upload DNA from MyHeritage to ancestry?
There is no ability to upload TO Ancestry. You have to test with Ancestry if you want DNA results from Ancestry. In order to upload your Ancestry autosomal DNA file to another testing vendor, or GedMatch, for either matching or ethnicity, you’ll need to first download the file from Ancestry.
